Biochemistry:
Theory and Practice
This unit provides an overview of the main biochemical
building blocks, namely carbohydrates, lipids, proteins
and nucleic acids. It also looks at how these building blocks
are used by cells, not only in the production of energy,
but also in the creation of chemicals they require in order
to function correctly. The action and importance of enzymes
is also discussed.
